Recipes and Fitness

with my nesting going wild lately, another nesting instinct i have had is to cook and bake like crazy! this isn't necessarily a good thing... for me anyway lol. its good for ry and the boys since i am finally cooking again, not so much for my weight gain : ). but a blog that i have been getting a TON of good recipes from is melskitchencafe.com. its SO GOOD and i have had some really delicious meals because of this fine lady! my favorite so far was her mexican lasagna. it was somewhat time consuming, but i stayed pretty organized, so it didn't seem that bad at all. AND IT WAS WORTH IT! sooo good. i froze some of it so we could have some stuff to eat when i get lazy again after little lady comes : ) and i made an adjustment- i didn't have 3 cans of tomato sauce, i only had 2, so i used one small can of green enchilada sauce to replace the one can of tomato sauce. and then i didn't use the whole 8 oz of cream cheese. i just couldn't get myself to use that much. i used probably 2/3rds of it (it was the 1/3 less fat cream cheese too) and it was perfect! anyway, i had told my sister-in-law irina about this website last night, and i thought i would make a post about it so other people can know about this blog too! i love it! i waste too much time fantasizing about all of her scrumptious recipes! : )

p.s. after i have little lady, i am going to hopefully track my way back into shape on my blog (as well as the other good stuff). im hoping to run a race sometime over christmas break when i go to alabama to visit my family. so, as soon as i get the ok, im going to be training. and by telling you all this, i am hoping it will make me keep up with the blog better : ) maybe once a week? thats not too much to ask, eh? : )

Going to Pop!

This is us on our family vacation in july. we went to maine with my family : )
they are just too cute!

since the boys were both in plaid, i wanted to take a picture of the two of them together

38.5 weeks

well, according to my second due date, i am 38 weeks and 4 days. i just had a doctors appointment today, and i am 3 cm and 80% effaced. my doctor is on call THIS weekend and the doctor at their office that i DESPISE is on call next weekend, so im REALLY hoping to have the baby within the next week and NOT next weekend. : ) im sure hes a good person, but hes just not a good doctor. i went to him for a few months when we lived here in springfield for internships 2 summers ago. i was prego with cole. anyway, i just would be so depressed if he ended up having to deliver for me. SO with a full moon this weekend, and all of your prayers ; ) maybe i will have this girl this weekend! i doubt it though since i was induced with tucker and cole, im sure i will have to be induced with this wee babe as well. after i told my doctor i did NOT want to deliver with the other doctor, she said i could schedule an elective induction next friday if i wanted. i just dont know though, it would be sooo nice, but im not sure i want to make that decision. we will see : ) anyway, so heres a pic for 38 weeks, and a few other pictures of what has been going on lately!!! sorry ive been so lazy... i dont have any excuse except for just being lazy : )

we still dont have a name picked out for this baby girl, but im hoping we can at least get it down to a couple before we go to the hospital. we are all getting pretty anxious to meet her! the boys are getting especially excited! they are going to be great big brothers and big helpers, im sure! im kinda getting nervous for recovery with 2 hyper little men running around, but im sure it will be fine. im just getting uncomfortable at this point, and i want to have her out of my belly and in my arms!

tucker and cole are so fun. they are starting to fight more, which has been hard, but they are also playing better than they ever have too. they both love to be outside and run around. they both love love love to fish! tucker is getting soo good with writing and learning letters which is exciting. im going to have a little preschool curriculum for tucker (and a little for cole) starting this fall for the school year. we just dont think preschool is for us, but i love teaching the boys, and tucker is eager to learn, so im going to figure a little something to do every day (if i can keep up with it :) ) of the school week. it might just be a fantasy though lol. cole is talking more and more and he is doing well with going potty on the toilet (if i remember to keep up with it and ask him every few hours.) ryan is as hard working as ever, and he definately makes me a better person. he is so patient with the boys. and there is nothing like seeing the boys get so excited to see him when he gets home. he gets down and plays with them just like he is a 3 year old : ) i am definately a lucky gal. we are very blessed and are very excited to meet our new little lady! well, im already out of stuff to say. maybe i can get better at this blog thing sometime!

until next time...which could possibly be next year.... : )

It's about time!

first time riding a 4 wheeler!!!

18 or 19 weeks, i dont even remember anymore!

my little gnome man cole : )

awww my little fishermen!!!

for the thousands of you that look at my blog ; ) i know you have been feeling neglected. haha, i just made myself chuckle. i actually have thought about just not doing a blog anymore since we still don't have internet yet. sometimes i just feel like, really, who wants to know all this random info about my growing family? we aren't THAT interesting. but at the same time, it is a wee bit therapeutic. and i do enjoy a good blog post every now and again. so, here i am at my in-laws after general conference, bumming off of their wireless! yay for updates!!

cole (18 months on the 9th of april) is now going to nursery at church! and that is a relief for ryan because he had to watch him every sunday for the last 2 hours since im in primary. he had to have him with him, even when he had to teach the lessons every couple of weeks in young men's! dedicated young lad if you ask me-cole was getting to be quite the handful! so, im glad this time has come, so cole can get some of his energy out, have another snack, and play with the other kids. i can't think about it too much though because then i will cry my little eyes out. i know i am always saying this, but time seriously flies! my sweet babies are growing up too fast. anyway, so he is talking more, running faster, is more coordinated, loves to read, and has quite a temper. his thing when he is frustrated is to get on all fours and start slamming his head into the ground, whatever that ground might be (cement, metal, ect). but he is sure a sweetheart, he is so loving to everyone, especially his family, and ANY baby : ). he will always go up to a baby and try to pat its head or its arm. he gets so excited when ryan comes home from work! he sure loves his daddy. he loves to play with tucker and he will do ANYTHING that tucker does, even if that is smack himself in the head, babble randome things, or going to time-out. 2 for the price of one anyone? ; ) his nicknames vary between either squishy or stinky!

tucker (4 on the 27th of april) is talking so well! he is catching on to common phrases and big words that definately catch me off guard when he says them. and he is a ham, for sure! he loves to make people laugh and does that quite often. i have realized that he gets his weirdness from me, and his hyperness from ryan : ) he still loves to play with cars, to color, to read books, and to watch movies. he LOVES sports and is always trying to play baseball, football, or do karate in the house. im excited that warm weather is finally here so he can actually do those things (outside) without getting in trouble. he loves to play outside and to dig in the dirt. typical boy. he loves his friends and cousins that he gets to play with. he is such a great big brother and is definately excited for his little sister. he loves to help around the house and setting the table is one of his favorite ways to help me. he loves to sing songs, and is learning to sing new ones all the time. he melted my heart one night when he sang along with me as i sang him his bedtime song. it's a song my mom used to sing to me. when he sang it along with me, i couldn't finish the song very well because i was trying to hold back the tears! he is such a blessing to my life! he is in the sunbeams class at church now! i was bummed when i got released from nursery because i loved being in there with tucker and i wanted to be in there when cole came in. but now, i get to be with tucker even more in primary! so its been fun to see him transition (it hasn't been easy for him to adjust to sitting still for so long) and participate and learn about the gospel. he really wants to bear his testimony in church, and every fast sunday he asks to. so sometime soon, after some practice, i hope he will be ready because i know he wants to. **our bishopric in our ward asked that the really young children who need help still bear their testimonies at home, in class, ect. and not during sacrament** anyway, he is a fun-loving little bundle of energy. his nicknames are pumpkin and sweetie pie.

ryan has been in and out of town the last couple of months for business trips, and im glad he has been home for a couple of weeks now. i feel like a better mom/person with him around! he makes me want to be better.

i am around 20/21 weeks preggy now. im due sometime between the 15th and the 22nd of august. my due date was the 15th, but my ultrasound said the 22nd with all of the measurements. soo, the doctor said sometime between then is when this little GIRL would make her appearance (hopefully). then but that she was going to change my due date to be the 22nd. im feeling great! im still working out at the gym several times a week and a couple times at home on days i dont feel like driving all the way to the gym : ) im trying to cook/bake more and so that has been fun. ive really had the urge to be a better homemaker/mother/wife, so im trying to get better at things. there are so many things i want to do! i want to paint some paintings for our bedrooms. i especially want to learn how to sew, i just need to get my lazy bum to go and figure out how to use my sewing machine : ) ive been having the urge to break out my old text books from school too! i miss reading good ol' exercise science books. i just have been wanting to become more rounded out lately! what is this baby girl doing to me : ) anyway, we are all good and having fun!!!!
