is it hard for anyone else to come up with titles for their posts? i mean, i had "january 2011" at first for this post, but then it felt so boring! so then, i deleted it and wrote "does anyone else have a hard time coming up with a title name for their posts?" but then i realized that was wayyyyy too long and wordy. so i made it "green eggs and ham." it is only logical if you ask me. just an fyi if you were wondering : )
This fun-tastic picture is of ryan's dad bob. it was his 70th birthday in january. just kidding, he only turned 29 ; ) .... which makes it a little odd since ryan is 27?
so short story long, it was his birthday and we went to his partay. his dear wife, my mother-in-law lois had a scrumptious taco salad dinner and then we played this awesome game. i think she made it up. it didn't work as planned, but it was still a hoot to play. you smear whipped cream all over the enemy's face. the enemies happened to be all of the grown up men-folk in the house, aka ryan, robert, bradly, and bob. i was teamed up with my
ry-guy. so, after you smother their face in whipped cream, you throw cheese puffs at their face. whoever had the most on their face won! but there was a problem... the puffs were falling off their faces after they stuck for like 2 seconds. so then it turned to, if you hit them anywhere on the face, it counted as 1 point. so then i started chucking them, pretty hard too. HAH... i have no idea why i was laughing hysterically while seriously pelting my cream covered husband with cheese balls. it was fun. it turned into a whipped cream fight. which is messy and will make ur hair turn to cement. but once again, it was fun. and ryan wore a bib. for proof, look below : )
look at these grown-ups!!! it seriously freaks me out how big all of the kids are getting.
As some of you know, I am still in alabama visiting my parents while ryan goes on business trips. but, last weekend i got a pleasant surprise! on his way home from the atlanta business trip, i thought i was going to get to meet up with ryan at like a gas station and say hi to him. he said he couldn't visit long though because they were driving 2 big trucks full of machines back, and they needed to hurry and get home. so, i expected maybe 10 minutes of seeing him. SHORT STORY LONG again lol, i didn't hear back from him after they got done in atlanta, so i thought they were having a hard time getting the equiptment loaded up in the trucks. my dad usually works late, so it wasn't too unusual that he showed up at 8 friday night. but then he walked in with a smile and said, hey tucker, i brought someone special... and in walks my love! i was pretty confused. but low and behold, his dad and brother bradly went on and drove the other truck home, and he was going to stay and visit till sunday morning! i was SOOOO HAPPY! i missed him a ton, and it had only been 5 days. the 2 long weeks he was going to be in venezuela after that were going to be an eternity! so it was a blessing for me to be able to see him! i dont know how military people do it. im not wired to be without him. anyway, that night my parents watched the boys so ry and i could go on a date. we may or may not have made-out in our car right before we went out to a really good local bbq restaurant ; ) this is a pic before i ate like 2000 calories in a single sitting. true love.
*ryan is my true love, hah, not the uber-fattening but delicious and necessary bbq food. that stuff is scrumptious, but cannot top this guy previously pictured with muah. : )
this past tuesday we went and visited my older sister jacquie and her hubby doug. they live an hour and a half away from my parents, so it was a fun little trip for me and the boys. we had a pizza party that night with fizzy grape juice : ) i should have taken a picture of that crazy bread because it was CRAZY GOOD. we then stayed up with tuck watching toy story 3, which for more than half of that movie i was absent, due to my repeated attempts to get cole to go to sleep. that is one problem with sleeping with fans for white noise. if you dont have one every time you take a trip, you might be doomed. jacquie made yummy chocolate chip cookies too! shes trying to kill me! she is so annoying! she can totally whip up baked goods, and really anything edible, WITHOUT a recipe, and it will be to DIE FOR. jealous. anyway,
after a late-night, we had a chill morning at their house. aka, i put cole in a pack-n-play so he wouldnt break anything else, tucker watched sesame street while i was attempting to pass out on the floor next to the space heater. *****i dont really get sick when im prego, but.... vampires could have possible sucked all of my blood because i am completely drained almost 24/7. absoultely no energy except for random spurts that can never be predicted. i am just constantly fatigued to the MAX! anyway..***** after jacquie prepared our BLT picnic lunch, we went to dougs work to meet up with him. he works for a car racing company, APR. he is something like a mechanic, i can't remember for sure. but it is awesome whatever his job may be. if you dont already know, tucker is obsessed with racecars, so it was a definate must to go see uncle dougs "office." both of the boys had a ton of fun seeing the racecars. they even got to sit in some of them!
.... oh and i did too : ) im a crackhead.
aunt jacquie wheeled cole around to make him happy :)
this pic was from last weekend when doug and jacquie came to visit at my parents. i love this picture of doug and cole! i think its so cute.
well, we sure are having fun here, lots of lunches with nana and papa on their lunch breaks, we've gone to the park a couple of times, visited aunt jacquie and uncle doug, watched movies, eaten good food, had late-night convo's with my dad about parenting, caught up on sleep, and just danced and played like always : ) sidenote- we try to have a dance party almost every day. i will have boys that get their groove on a church dances! no wallflowers for me.
