The night before my birthday, we went to Tucker's last t-ball game. He did great! It was so fun to watch him play baseball this summer. He is a goofball. His favorite part is to bat and run the bases. When he is out in the field though, he will just stand and watch the ball roll past him, then chase after it. He loves baseball, and we love watching him!
My birthday fell on a Wednesday, so dag nab it, Ryan was a responsible adult and went to work. It was just me and the kiddos for the day.
We ran errands first thing, then we set out on my birthday adventure! It has been so dang hot that I just wanted to be inside all day. We first stopped at Bass Pro since we haven't been there in a while. Please excuse the awkward stance. I was trying to get Mackenzie to cooperate lol.
| Cue picking nose... |
We then went to get free cupcakes at this yummy place called The Cup. With the library's summer reading program, they each got a card that gives free things/discounts at several local shops. And luckily, Tucker wasn't feeling well, so I had to eat his big vanilla cupcake. : )
Next, we went to Claire's to get Mackenzie's ears pierced! I have been wanting to do this for a while, so I was so excited when we finally got there. The boys were troopers considering it was naptime.
| me and kenz right after they pierced her ears. she only cried for about 10 seconds! |
They both loved the crazy variety of sunglasses they had going on at the store.
After we went to the mall, we went to the gym and I got a good run in. I did 6 easy miles on the treadmill.
We went home and sadly, Ryan had to leave for mutual right after he got home from work. So, the kids and I had dinner, went to my in-laws to visit and the kids flew kites. We just had a low key rest of the night. It was a fun and memorable day with my babies. Just wish my babe could have been with us!
Ryan is planning on taking me to a running store in town to get my feet analyzed and to get a new pair of running shoes. We stopped by the store one day when he was on a break at work, but it takes 40 minutes for the foot analyzing process, so we have to go back another time. Im pretty excited about it!
It's been a wonderful 25 years, full of life- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the magnificent. Here's to another 100 more! : )
Happy Birthday Lizzie! Mackenzies ears look adorable! :-)
