Since our little man Tucker was starting school this week, we had a "date-night" with him. My in-laws babysat the younger two while we spent some quality time with Tuck. We started off with going to his meet-the-teacher night. He was SO excited! He was supposed to bring his school supplies to put in his cubby before the first day of school, so he fiiiinalllyyyy got to wear his bookbag he has been BEGGING to wear!
He was so excited to find his desk and his cubby! He got a little shy once he was surrounded by his classmates, parents, and teacher. I could tell that he was still pumped though. : ) After we filled out paperwork and unpacked his bookbag and organized his cubby, we went out to dinner. We let Tucker pick where he wanted to go. So Pizza Hut it was!
After dinner, we went to a Christian bowling alley. He has been asking me almost daily for a while now to go bowling, but I haven't wanted to go with the two younger kids since they would just be all over the place. So this "before school starts" datenight with him was a perfect chance to bowl with Tucker!
Right after this picture my camera died. I was so bummed because I hadn't gotten to take a picture with him yet. So, Ryan being the genius that he is took some of Tucker and I with his i-phone. I need to figure out how to get those off of there now.
Tucker is such a hilarious kid. He has such a fun, crazy, silly personality. We had so much fun with him on our date! And we sure got an ab workout in with all of the laughing we did!
So, his first official day of school was Thursday- I still feel like I am dreaming!!!
He is such a handsome little man!!!
We all went as a family to take him to the school, so Cole and Kenzie were in their jammies still. Tucker was finishing his toast in the car because he was too excited about FINALLY going to school that he kept talking and asking questions and not focusing on eating his breakfast.
Ryan offered to just stay in the car with the kids while I walked Tucker to class since the parking lot was a chaos. I thought that was SO sweet of Ryan to let me be the one to take him. So, Tucker JUMPED out of the car and was ready for his new school adventure!!!
I love his smile in that one where he is walking in the hallway at school. His smile goes from ear to ear practically!!! : )
His cubby and his desk!!! : )
So spunky!
So spunky!
Dear lizzie,
ReplyDeleteYou're so awesome and I love your blog :)
I always get lazy and never comment so here is what I thought as I've read the last several posts.
ON your b-day post I thought "wow I should take my kids to the cup (and I did) and I can't believe me teaching her how to sew made her list of 25"
ON the post about getting back to weight I thought "I'm lazy and I should be more like lizzie and maybe someday I'll be back to my prepregnancy weight"
ON the post about makeup and other things I thought "seriously? everytime I look at a picture of you (or see you)I think dang she is pretty how does she get her face to glow like that?"
Finally, on this post I wanted to tell you that I felt really bad for tucker at the party too and wished I had done things differently because I wanted the party to be all about accomplishments and not have the kids be sad because they can't do something :( I loved that you helped him flip over and overall though I think they had fun:)
Thanks for all the inspiration, seriously I love every post!
Oh Terriann! you are too kind! And you look gorgeous and fit all of the time! Don't feel bad about Tucker! Obviously it was not your fault! He is just competitive and has a hard time not being the best lol. But the kids (and me!) for sure had fun! You are a great party-thrower!! : )
