typical scenario of ryan and the kids... except relocated outside : ) jk. but i am amazed at how fast ryan can fall asleep anytime/anywhere/any amount of noise!

somebody turned 6 months!!! and it is quite an adorable little chunk of baby girl if i do say so myself!

Miss Mackenzie

-just barely learned to sit up at 5 1/2 months!!!

-she loves to nurse, eat babyfood (except cereal...she is still unsure of it), and only half of the time wants her binky. we both reached a big milestone at 6 months! this is by far the longest i have been able to nurse! i feel very blessed that ive been able to have a good milk supply this time because she will NOT take a bottle.
-her dark hair she was born with is still slowly falling out and little specs of blonde are shining through.
-she has beautiful dark blue eyes and haven't really changed much since she was born. not sure if they are going to change!
-i love painting her nails... toes and fingers! especially glitter polish : )
-i love dressing her up! soo fun to mix and match her sweet little clothes!
-she still has a hard time accepting tummy time. she is fine for the first 45-50 seconds, then starts yelling until someone comes and gets her up or she rolls over.
-she likes to yell. if someone isn't holding her, or paying attention to her... she "cries" but its more of a mad yell... like "arrrrg!!! hold me" kind of a yell ; )
-she has only rolled over once or twice from her back to her stomach. but rolls over from her tummy to back quite easily.
-she has been teething since 2 months (or at least the pediatrician said she was teething at her 2 month appointment) but still no sight of the approaching teeth.
-she drools like crazy, chews on stuff like crazy, and is actually starting to growl. ill have to post a video later... i just captured her growling tonight on camera. its so funny!
-she still wakes up at least once a night. at a month and a half, she slept a solid 8-10 hours a night. then all of a sudden at 4 months, she started waking up more and more. one night i was up 4 times! and she wants to nurse almost everytime! thankfully, it has just been once a night the last few nights.
-she is sooo sweet and cuddly. she definately likes to cuddle a lot more than tucker and cole.
-she loves baths and playing with her toys!
-about 2 months ago i noticed a red bump on the back of her leg. i thought it was a bug bite at first and just kept my eye on it. then it started getting a little bigger. i am a worry wart so i ended up taking her to the doc on valentines day. we found out she has a sebaceous cyst on the back of her left calf. he said its nothing to worry... kind of like a whitehead... but without the lovely white stuff. he said it should go away by itself within a year or so. i feel so thankful it was nothing more serious!
-she is a daddy's girl, but i want to say she loves her momma a bunch too ; )
-the boys love making her laugh, and she just eats it right up! they love her tons, and she loves them right back!
-she can be shy. : ) when someone she doesn't know very well talks to her, she looks at them for a few seconds, and then turns to me and nuzzles into my body while gripping me so tight with her little hands. i love this!

there are lots of other precious things that she is doing now or that we love about her. i just wanted to record a handful of some that came to my mind while they were still fresh. i wish i did this with my baby boys : ( its so sad how fast time goes! and how bad my memory is.

Me and my main man!!!!

(friday night date after valentines day 2012)

holy cow! this was our 7th valentines together!! crazy!! when we were dating, i could tell ryan wanted to get serious, and i was young, and scared, and confused, so i did what i thought was logical... remind him i was writing to a missionary! that hurt his ego a bit. ; ) sooooooooo he did what he thought was logical. break up with me... like 2 days before valentines day. and lucky for me, im not sure when (probably the next night), he called me, came to my dorms, and begged me to come down to the lobby and talk. i said nope. i decided was going to go on a dating fast and focus on school. but like always, he sweet talked a little bit and i went down and we talked, and hugged, and kissed, and we got back together! thats the night that i knew my life would never be the same! so we had our lovely first valentines day on a double date with our friends craig and veva at tucanos in provo. we were going to hang out after dinner, but i wanted to change into more comfy clothes. we went back to the dorms and i went up to my room to change. when i got there, my room was decorated and there was a cashmere blanket with my name and a heart embroidered on it! he had convinced a friend of mine to ask to "use" my laptop and then she decorated/set everything up for him (since boys were only allowed on our room floors during visiting hours). **ryan now claims he only got back together with me because he had already had the blanket embroidered with my name and he was sure he wouldn't find another lizzie. ; ) whatever my love...you just keep telling yourself that.

i love you ryan! i am so grateful for all the valentine's days we have had together, and all the ones we will have! you are truly my best friend and i can't imagine my life without you. you love me with all my weaknesses all my strengths. and i love and adore you completely! you are perfect for me babe!

ryan was on a business trip this valentines (2nd year in a row), so our good friends colby and carolee offered to babysit the saturday before. so they watched the boys while we went on a date (with mackenzie : ) we went to the mall and ry bought me some bcbg perfume. then we went out to eat at applebees. it was great to go out!

my lovely mother in law offered to watch the boys the friday night after valentines day, so we went out again! twice in a week span! i was one lucky gal!!! : ) i really really REALLY liked the quality time with him. i love that man!
